We need to work hard for Ralph so we can keep him in Office and work just as hard to support Michele Presnell &/or Ben Keilman in their efforts to send Ray Rapp into retirement.
Civitas Action, a nonprofit political advocacy group, categorizing lawmakers based on their votes on legislation. Lawmakers that support “free-market economic policies, limited government and personal responsibility” get higher conservative scores and “effectiveness” ratings.
If any other of our presidents had doubled the National Debt, which had taken more than two centuries to accumulate, in one year, would you have approved?
If any other of our presidents had then proposed to DOUBLE the debt again within 10 years, would you have approved?
If any other of our presidents had criticized a State Law that he admitted he never even read, would you think that he is just an ignorant hot Head?
If any other of our presidents joined the country of Mexico and sued a State in the United States to force that State to continue to allow Illegal Immigration, would you question his patriotism and wonder who’s side he was on?

If any other of our presidents had used a forged document as the basis of the moratorium that would render 87000 American workers unemployed, would you support him?
If any other of our presidents had been the first President to need a teleprompter installed to be able to get through a press conference, would you have laughed and said this is more proof of how inept he is on his own and is really controlled by smarter men behind the scenes?
If any other of our presidents had spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to take his First Lady to a play in NYC, would you have approved?
If any other of our presidents had reduced your retirement plan holdings of GM stock by 90% and given the unions a majority stake in GM, would you have approved?
If any other of our presidents had made a joke at the expense of the Special Olympics, would you have approved?
If any other of our presidents had given Gordon Brown a set of inexpensive and incorrectly formatted DVDs, when Gordon Brown had given him a thoughtful and historically significant gift, would you have approved?

If any other of our presidents had been so Spanish illiterate as to refer to “Cinco de Cuatro” in front of the Mexican ambassador when it was “The 5th of May” (Cinco de Mayo), and then continue to flub it when he tried again, wouldn’t you have winced in embarrassment?
If any other of our presidents had burned 9,000 gallons of jet fuel to go plant a single tree on Earth Day, would you have concluded he’s a Hypocrite?
If any other of our presidents’ Administrations had ok’d Air Force One flying low over millions of people followed by a jet fighter in downtown Manhattan causing widespread panic, would you have wondered whether they actually get what happened on 9-11?
If any other of our presidents had failed to send relief aid to flood victims throughout the Midwest, with more people killed or made homeless than in New Orleans, would you want it made into a major ongoing Political issue
with claims of racism and incompetence?
If any other of our presidents had created the positions of 32 Czars who report directly to him, by-passing the House and Senate on much of what is happening in America, would you have approved?
If any other of our presidents had ordered the firing of the CEO of a major corporation, even though he had no constitutional authority to do so, would you have approved?
So, tell me again, what is it about Obama that makes him so brilliant and impressive?
Can’t think of anything? Then you’d better start worrying. He’s done all these things in 28 months –and you have less than 12 months to come up with an answer.

From now thru November 2012 this should be required weekly or at least monthly, reading – BY ALL WHO VOTE!!!
Did you notice who Obama threatened when he wasn’t getting his way on raising the debt ceiling?
He threatened to not pay: Social Security Retirees, Military Retirees, Social Security disability and Federal Retirees.
Now… Let this sink in really good -
He did not threaten to stop payments to illegal aliens
He did not threatened to take frivolous benefits such as Internet access away from violent inmates
He did not offer to fire some of the thousands of unnecessary federal employees that he hired
He did not offer to cut down on his or his wife’s frivolous gallivanting around
He did not threaten to not pay the senators and representatives or any of their staff
He did not threaten to take benefits away from welfare recipients
He did not threaten the food stamp programs
He did not threaten to not pay foreign aid
He did not threaten to cut back on anything that involves his base voters
The list could go on and on. He is in full political re-election mode!
Why are we allowing this person to destroy this wonderful country with his selfishness and his lies?
His type of change is killing our country. He needs to be stopped and only our votes can stop him.
Do not forget about his tactics when it’s election time. Vote Obama out of the Presidency in 2012.

Federal Budget 101
The U.S. Congress sets a federal budget every year in the trillions of dollars. Few people know how much money that is so we created a breakdown of federal spending in simple terms. Let’s put the 2011 federal budget into perspective:
- U.S. income: $2,170,000,000,000
- Federal budget: $3,820,000,000,000
- New debt: $ 1,650,000,000,000
- National debt: $14,271,000,000,000
- Recent budget cut: $ 38,500,000,000 (about 1 percent of the budget)
It helps to think about these numbers in terms that we can relate to. Let’s remove eight zeros from these numbers and pretend this is the household budget for the fictitious Jones family.
- Total annual income for the Jones family: $21,700
- Amount of money the Jones family spent: $38,200
- Amount of new debt added to the credit card: $16,500
- Outstanding balance on the credit card: $142,710
- Amount cut from the budget: $385
So in effect last month Congress, or in this example the Jones family, sat down at the kitchen table and agreed to cut $385 from its annual budget. What family would cut $385 of spending in order to solve $16,500 in deficit spending?
It is a start, although hardly a solution.
Now after years of this, the Jones family has $142,710 of debt on its credit card (which is the equivalent of the national debt).
You would think the Jones family would recognize and address this situation, but it does not. Neither does Congress.
The root of the debt problem is that the voters typically do not send people to Congress to save money. They are sent there to bring home the bacon to their own home state.
To effect budget change, we need to change the job description and give Congress new marching orders.
It is awfully hard (but not impossible) to reverse course and tell the government to stop borrowing money from our children and spending it now.
In effect, what we have is a reverse mortgage on the country. The problem is that the voters have become addicted to the money. Moreover, the American voters are still in the denial stage, and do not want to face the possibility of going into rehab.

We applaud the County Manager and County Commissioners for approving a balanced budget that does not dig into the county contingency fund again, but instead focused on budget cuts and cost savings measures. However, the Madison County GOP continues to ask: Will County Attorney Larry Leake ever attempt to collect back taxes owed to the county??? After 10 years the back taxes are forgiven and never able to be collected. Based on current information, it appears that Mr. Leake has NEVER attempted to execute a tax foreclosure in Madison County. Local Attorney Bruce Briggs volunteered several years ago to pursue back taxes on behalf of the county (free of charge) but after initially being approved by the County Commissioners (while Mr. Leake was absent) he was ignored/turned down by the Madison County Commissioners on the “legal advice” of Mr. Leake.
Since 2001, there are currently $3,479,511.08 in unpaid/uncollected taxes in Madison County. Just think what a county like ours could do with nearly $3.5 Million!! The next time you see Mr. Leake, ask him to do his job, stop looking the other way, and begin taking action against people who refuse to pay their fair share.
Be sure to remember this figure when you receive your new property tax valuations in the near future. $3.5 Million…just sitting out there….uncollected….no effort from the county attorney to “encourage” these freeloaders &/or deadbeats to pay.

“We must always be vigilant in protecting the integrity of our election, but requiring every voter to present a government-issued photo ID is not the way to do it,” said Governor Perdue as she vetoed our common-sense legislation to restore confidence in our elections and combat voter fraud.
75% of North Carolinians support our voter ID requirements, yet Governor Perdue again has decided to put politics over the will of North Carolinians. This veto goes to show that Governor Perdue is more focused on getting re-elected and energizing her liberal base.
North Carolinians must show an ID to cash a check, to see a doctor and to enter into certain government buildings, yet Governor Perdue and her liberal allies do not think it is important to show one to vote. Why is Governor Perdue scared of verifying someone’s identity before his or her vote?
